JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Rally the computer "geeks" at the office to make Hero Bras and what do you get?
Wow! A Hero Bra made of computer parts and a switch to turn on the colored lights.
You really have to see this one. Just click on the video tab to look for yourself.
Thanks to the staff at the Duval County Clerk of Courts. Cassidy Futch, an employee there, inspired her co-workers to make Hero Bras.
The project raises funds for our Mammogram Hotline with Komen for the Cure North Florida. The M-Line is for women and men who can't afford mammograms.
Cassidy found overwhelming support for Hero Bras. For every $100 raised we can give a free mammogram.
Some employees went the beautiful route with silk flowers and inspirational messages.
Others, including the IT guys, went for the flashy style.
No matter the design, the Hero Bras show support from both men and women to fight breast cancer and, most of all, catch it early.
Huge applause to the Duval County Clerk of Court employees!
If you can't afford a mammogram, call the M-Line at 1-877-9-MY-MAMO. (That's 1-877-969-6266.)
The M-Line is a non-profit project with Jeannie Blaylock at First Coast News and Komen. All money raised stays on the First Coast.
