JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It's a song that captures the spirit of The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer and why thousands return to Jacksonville and its beaches every year to run it.
When Musa Farmand sat down to write the words to Believe In The Beat, he thought of the endurance it takes to run a marathon, the perserverence required to finish it and that place a runner comes to on a long journey.
For Daniel App, the inspiration for the melody was personal.
His mom is a six-year survivor. The two sat down with First Coast News anchor, three time survivor and race founder Donna Deegan to talk about how the 26.2 With Donna theme song came together and more.
