JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Margie Cox doesn't usually wear a bright red, rather large nose.

But she and her son went all out for our latest Hero Baker party.

Margie and her Hero Baker volunteers threw a clown party at Community Connections in downtown Jacksonville.

They did simple magic tricks and a professional clown joined in to help the kids turn into super heroes thanks to face paint.

Hero Bakers don't usually get that elaborate, but our project allows for any creativity you can muster.

The idea is to bake cakes or cupcakes -- even from a simple cake mix -- so homeless children and children who are from domestic violence situations can actually celebrate their birthdays.

Every child deserves a birthday cake, don't you think?
