JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- James Moore spends a
lot of time driving his SUV these days.
After spending more than 40 years at CSX the retired chief
traffic officer is as busy as ever picking up the senior citizens at the Fort
Caroline Baptist Church.
Moore, who has been a member of the church for many years, says that back in 2005 while chairman of the Deacon Board his pastor asked him
if he'd provide the seniors transportation to and from their doctors
Moore, 71, says he did it without any reservations because he
believes part of his mission as a Christian is to serve others.
Moore also knows that many seniors live alone and are left
uncared for by their families and someone has to reach out and help them.
Now Moore provides transportation for the seniors free of
He and his wife also provide meals for those seniors who
come home from the hospital.
