Tyler Hadley will remain in jail on murder charges
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- An anonymous phone call initiated the investigation that led to Tyler Hadley's arrest for killing his parents.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department released the affidavit detailing the investigation into the deaths of Ryan Blake and Mary Jo Hadley.
The affidavit, said an anonymous call was placed at 4:24 a.m. Sunday, and officers following up at the Hadley home, found three parked vehicles, all registered to the Hadleys. There was a silhouette of one person walking back and forth inside the home.
The person, later identified as the suspect, Tyler Hadley, was seen by one of the officers throwing a handful of books into a room.
Nobody answered when police knocked on the door, and police called for backup to help secure the perimeter.
Hadley eventually answered the door, and his behavior led to police handcuffing him as they talked to him, the affidavit said.
The officers reported that Hadley appeared very nervous, frantic and talkative, with a blank stare on his face and large pupils.

He told the officers his parents were out of town and could not be reached.
Concerned for the safety of Hadley's parents because their vehicles were at the house, the officers went into the home over Hadley's objections and looked around.
They found evidence of a house party: empty beer bottles, empty cups, pots and pans in the kitchen and rooms in disarray.
One bedroom was locked. Hadley said it belonged to his parents and he couldn't open it.
An officer reported seeing blood on the frame by the door, so another officer forced open the door, immediately seeing blood and blood stains throughout the room.
The officers also saw what they described as "every piece of furniture from the interior of the house" in that room.
One officer began moving the furniture when he saw a human leg covered in blood. He then called for rescue personnel and continued searching, finding a dog locked in a closet and eventually another person, also dead.
A friend of Hadley's told police Hadley had threatened to kill his parents before, so he didn't believe it when Hadley said he had done it.
Hadley reportedly then told the friend the details.
The friend told police Hadley said he stood behind his mother for a few minutes thinking about killing her, then hit her in the head with a hammer. She screamed and asked, "Why?" as he continued hitting her.
Hadley reportedly told his friend that his father then walked into the room, and he killed him as well.
The friend said it took about three hours for Hadley to clean up the blood, because it was "more than he had expected."
The friend said he still didn't believe Hadley, who then showed him the bodies and said he was going to kill himself, but then police showed up.
Investigators identified the bodies as those of Tyler Hadley's parents, and saw that they had wounds consistent with the claw end of a hammer, which was also recovered near the bodies.
Hadley was arrested on two murder charges.
