LAKE CITY, FL -- Three Jacksonville men and thirteen others are facing drug charges after an undercover investigation suggested they were trafficking cocaine. A Drug Task force made up of Lake City Police, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Drug Enforcement Administration made the busts. The ongoing investigation led to the arrests of Carlos Wright, Andre Deveaux and Ralph Marshall, all of Jacksonville, Monday night. Marshall, 66, is also facing charges of trafficking heroine. Police arrested the 13 others last week. Authorities arrested Ryan Freeman and Christina Garcia at Freeman's home after they sold undercover officers cocaine. Police also arrested Garcia's husband, Antonia, after finding drugs at their home. Officials say between the two homes detectives confiscated half a kilogram of powder cocaine, an assault rifle, a handgun, more than $5,000 in cash, three pounds of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. The ten others were arrested on outstanding warrants for various drug charges. Tavarish Austin, John Cooley, Felton Dixie, Terrence Jerringan, Alexa Mack, Matthew Rice, Dwight Tyre, Jr., Alfred Washington, Kathy Wilson, and Nathaniel Benz all remain at the Columbia County Jail. Columbia County Sheriff Bill Gootee issued this statement in a press release. "Drugs continue to be a problem in our community but as your Sheriff, I will continue to aggressively pursue drug dealers who make their money by destroying families and ruining lives."
