ATLANTA -- Local film-goers who see the president's palace in the new "Hunger Games" film "Catching Fire," may recognize the Atlanta History Center's iconic Swan House in some of the scenes.

The mansion, built in 1928 for the Inman family, had been designed by architect Philip Trammel Shutze. The Swan House is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The elegant home is open for general tours as well as the Atlanta History Center's "Past Open-house Experience," which allows tourists to experience the mansion as a living household during the Great Depression. People taking that tour will meet characters portraying the Inman family, domestic servants and the mansion's designers.

In addition, the Atlanta History Center has created the Capitol Tour, which shows the rooms that were used during filming of "Catching Fire." Selected props used during filming are also on display. The Capitol Tour runs through Monday, January 6.
