"Let's Move! Jacksonville" event moves to Heritage Park

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Mayor Alvin Brown urged youngsters to stay healthy Saturday morning.

Lots of activities for kids today out at A. Phillip Randolph Heritage Park.

The "I'm a Star" Foundation held it's third annual "Let's Move! Jacksonville" event.  

Three local high school teens were co-chairs and helped organize it. 

It's a major component of First Lady Michelle Obama's comprehensive Let's Move! initiative to solve the childhood obesity epidemic in the United States. 

Out of 50 metropolitan cities listed, Jacksonville ranks just 37th when it comes to being a healthy city.

Free fruits and vegetables were available to the many children and their parents attending the event in the afternoon.

Workshops were also held to help teach kids and parents how to adopt healthier lifestyles.
