St. Johns County, Fla. -- A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon Tuesday afternoon.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office began investigating an altercation that occurred Monday afternoon at a parking lot at the 800 block of W. King Street, which investigators say involved a 25-year-old man and the suspect, Erich Terry.
A SJSO press release says Terry allegedly attempted to stab the victim several times. The two left the area and a second altercation began in near Brown and Butler streets.
During the second altercation, shots were fired and Terry allegedly struck the victim in the head with a brick according to the press release. Both were treated at Flagler Hospital.
Terry is being held at the St. Johns County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
