With Veteran's Day approaching, here are a few things like free meals and activities that are for you.
There is a plethora of options for veterans and active duty military to have free meals on Monday, November 11.
Sticky Fingers Smokehouse - Free entrée when you buy a second entrée of equal or lesser value. You need to get their coupon and proof of military service like being in your uniform, have your dog tags or military ID current or expired.
Applebees - Veterans can choose from a free signature thank you meal. You must show proof of military service.
Golden Corral - On Monday, anyone who has served in the US military can get a free military appreciation buffet and drink to any vet who has served our country. No ID required.
Olive Garden - All veterans and current service members get a free meal from a special menu. Families get 10% off.

Another free event is the Annual Veteran's Day Parade.
The first is the annual Veterans Day parade to honor past and current military members and their families. The parade usually starts near the convention center downtown and ends close to the First Coast News studios.
It is a huge event that draws thousands of people.

The Mandarin Community Club is having a wreath laying ceremony at Billiard Park on Sunday Nov. 10, at 1 p.m., to honor the fallen. The public is encouraged to attend.
