JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Power has been restored to thousands of homes in Jacksonville Saturday evening, after a storm knocked down power lines and left as many as 7,000 in the dark.
According to JEA's website, about 100 residents are without power.
Assessment crews were working on the outages as of 5:48 p.m. JEA said.
The cause was not confirmed by JEA, but the outages coincided with a storm with 60-plus mph winds that rolled through the area Saturday afternoon.
JEA estimates the power will be restored by around 7 p.m.
