JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- If you are looking for a teaching position in Duval County, you may be in luck.

There are about 20 positions open right now. In tight fiscal times, you may be wondering where the money came from.

According to Jill Johnson, the spokesperson for the school district, it's not unusual to have this many positions come open.

She said they are probably from vacated positions from teachers moving or possibly taking time off for maternity leave.
