  • TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Casey Anthony has until Friday to report to a probation officer as a result of her conviction on check fraud last year.

Her attorneys had argued she already served probation while she was in jail waiting to be tried on murder charges, but an appeals court rejected that argument.

Her attorney has said Anthony is back in Florida and would follow the court's order.

The Florida Department of Corrections  is following the judge's order and will not reveal Anthony's location because she has received death threats.

"Most offenders their address is public record, but we won't disclose that nor will we disclose the probation office that she's visiting or her probation officer. But we will treat her like every other offender in that if she violates those court orders or if she doesn't do exactly what those court orders say, we'll notify the court," said Gretl Plessinger of the Florida Department of Corrections.

Plessinger said Anthony could potentially serve her probation out of state and that would be determined at her first probation meeting.

"Offenders can transfer their probation out of state. It's called interstate compact. But it's a process. So they have to petition the other state and the other state has to accept them on probation."

Anthony was acquitted of murder last month in the death of her two-year-old daughter Caylee. Following her acquittal, she was released from jail and has not been seen in public.
