Donald Smith, 56, is accused of abducting Perrywinkle from a Walmart in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- First Coast News has obtained new recordings, documents and hundreds of photographs in the Cherish Perrywinkle murder case.
Prosecutors today released the information, including the first-time recordings of Cherish's accused killer Donald Smith speaking to law enforcement in a 2009 case.
Smith's mother, Patricia Moore, can be heard telling investigators in that case, "I don't know if you've gone back into his record, but .... he has never touched a child. He's never around children. Children are not, like, his thing."
FCN is combing through the data right now and will have much more information on First Coast News at 6 and 11.
