Chad Cushnir joined First Coast News in the spring of 2002. Since that time, he has worn many hats within the sports department including being a photographer, producer, reporter, and anchor.
"Cush" has lived in Jacksonville since he was 5 years old. He grew up playing football and baseball at Mandarin Athletic Association while attending Loretto Elementary, Mandarin Middle, Ridgeview Junior High, and Middleburg High School. Cush played football and ran track at Middleburg, and he was also "The Voice of the Broncos" as he served as the school's P.A. announcer for the girls soccer, boys soccer, and JV football teams.
Upon graduating from Middleburg High School in 1999, Cush fulfilled a lifelong dream by attending Florida State University where he graduated from Summa Cum Laude in 2002.
Cush out-kicked his coverage in 2009 when he married someone who is way better looking than he is. He became a dad to an adorable son in 2012, and he and his wife welcomed their precious daughter in 2013.
You can follow Cush on Twitter. His handle is @CushCam. You can also e-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
