Time: 10 - 20 hours per week
The Creative Services Department intern will have a hands-on experience learning basic television production in a dynamic creative department that handles station promotion and client commercial production. Intern will learn and apply skills including, but not limited to: idea brainstorming, script writing, location production set up and lighting, nonlinear editing on Avid Adrenaline, and social media engagement.

Intern will become involved in daily topical promotion of First Coast Newscasts, interacting with news producers, searching for footage, assisting in shooting and editing these promos. Intern will also be involved in fulfillment of daily network and syndicated promotion obligations.
Intern will participate in a wide variety of promotion duties, including, but not limited to:
1. Brainstorming ideas for a variety of promotion needs.
2. Writing scripts for book and image promotions.
3. Assisting in the production of spots including camera and lighting set-up.
4. Post-production editing on the Avid Adrenaline non-linear editing system.
