Rhonda Hiser, while wheelchair-bound and fighting MS, spends her weekends camping with either her Girl Scout troop or her Cub Scout den, or helping Boy Scouts get their merit badges. When kids can't afford it, she uses her own money to pay for their handbooks, dues, fees and uniforms.
She enjoys working with young people and watching them grow and mature. Her goals are to prepare them for the future as leaders-not followers; and to provide opportunities, information and education for families so that all will have the chance to attend college.
