JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- SunRay Cinema will be debuting a documentary called The Iran Job. The film follows a former All-Atlantic Sun Conference guard for Jacksonville University's  basketball team Kevin Sheppard's life in Iran.

After playing for JU, Kevin Sheppard travel abroad and played professionally in South America, Europe, China and Israel before he joined the Iranian Super League in 2008.

The documentary followed Sheppard as he established relationships with fans of his team who introduced him to Iran's rich culture and to the country's pressing human rights issues, according to a press release from Kevin Hogencamp with Jacksonville University promoting the movie.

The Iran Job was made by Till Schauder, a German-American filmmaker, who was deported from Iran midway through production; colleagues of his in Iran had to shoot the final scenes. The film had its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June 2012. Schauder co-produced the film with his Iranian wife, Sara Nodjoumi.

Showtimes are 3:30 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. daily Friday, October 26, through Thursday, November 1 and for more information call SunRay Cinema 904-359-0047 or email tim@sunraycinema.com.
