We've been waiting for the Kate Effect to weave its way into maternity wear.
Kate Middleton's already-iconic sapphire Issa dress, the one worn in November 2010 to announce her engagement to Prince William, is now available in bump form.
As People discovered, UK maternity boutique Blossom Mother and Child has started carrying the silk wrap dress for mothers-to-be, for $870. The store even makes a nod to the dress's "classic" status - "part of Issa's DNA."
Don't gasp at the price tag: The versatile frock, the company tells the magazine, "can be worn during and after pregnancy."
Which makes us wonder whether the Duchess of Cambridge will simply practice her signature recycling habit, pulling out her old dress to accommodate her burgeoning belly - or will she spring for round 2?
