It is the biggest day of the year for television ads, so with millions of eyes watching what commercials scored and what commercials flopped?
The fan favorite according to USA Today is the Budweiser Clydesdale commercial involving the heart-warming story of a trainer and his Clydesdale.
USA Today says a close second was the Proctor & Gamble Tide commercial involving a salsa stain of Joe Montana. Also, two of the commercials that tested very positive with the public were the Ram farmer commercial and Jeep "whole again" commercial.
"It goes back to story-telling, people want to go with you when you tell a great story and I think that is why those spots did well versus the gag-related or funny for the sake of being funny. Those are fleeting and people won't remember them at the end of the day," says Kristen Bankert with St. John and Partner Advertising and Public Relations.
