Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell teamed for a comedy bit at this year's Golden Globes, and they'll be seen together later this year in an 'Anchorman' sequel.

Nonsense-spouting weatherman Brick Tamland loves more than just lamp, apparently: Now he's got spouse.
Former Saturday Night Live cast member Kristen Wiig is taking on that role in Anchorman: The Legend Continues, the sequel to the 2004 comedy that features a returning lineup of Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Steve Carell. The follow-up featuring Ferrell's mustached Ron Burgundy and his news team is scheduled for a Dec. 20 release.
Director Adam McKay confirmed the news himself on his Facebook page: "Kristen Wiig is officially on board for Anchorman 2. Couldn't be more excited." He also tweeted the scoop, adding in the classic Ron Burgundy line "Cannonball!"
Wiig, who also starred in Bridesmaids and MacGruber, is set to play the wife of Tamland, Carell's mentally deficient weatherman known for saying such things as "I love lamp" and "I'm riding a furry tractor."
Anchorman co-star Christina Applegate also weighed in on the casting news via Twitter: "So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for anchorman2. Going 2 b best movie ever made. Besides the best movies ever made."
