It may be getting all kinds of snark, but there's no denying Julia Roberts' Dolce & Gabbana dress is an original.
That can't quite be said for several other stars' selections.
That gorgeous red caped creation worn by Lupita Nyong'o (a showstopper on Ralph Lauren's spring runway)? Fashion followers are grumbling that it's a veritable copy of the famed Tom Ford frock rocked by Gwyneth Paltrow at the 2012 Oscars.
Hayden Panettiere's (however procured) Tom Ford is a sleeveless facsimile of Julianne Moore's Ford from last year's Globes.
And that black-and-berry strapless Carolina Herrera ballgown worn by Tina Fey during the pre-show? Red carpet watchers did a double-take, to make sure they weren't seeing Kat Dennings' David Meister Signature dress from the People's Choice Awards the other night.
