Meat pies: A Hughes Family Favorite

1 ½   pound of ground beef

Salt & pepper to taste

1 ½ teaspoon garlic powder

¾ teaspoon of basil

Chopped onion

½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons of milk

4 ounce s of cream cheese

½ can of tomato paste

Cheddar cheese

2 cans of Pillsbury Grand's Biscuits

Brown the beef in a skillet with the onions, basil, garlic, salt & pepper. Add the remaining ingredients and then cool.

Roll out biscuits and add 1-1 ½ tablespoons of mixture and a cheese slice or grated cheese. Roll over and press together.

Use a fork to seal the edges.

Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 15 minutes or until browned.

Serve with a side of fresh fruit and your favorite dipping sauces.
