WASHINGTON (AP) - The start of a new month brings a fresh jobs report.
The Labor Department is scheduled to report September's employment numbers on Friday. There will be some foreshadowing with private sector reports on payrolls and the service sector on Wednesday, and the government's weekly jobless claims report on Thursday.
On Monday, the Commerce Department presents data on construction spending for August. That's followed by September auto sales on Tuesday. On Thursday, the Labor Department reports August orders to factories for durable goods.
