JACKSONVILLE, FL -- It's one of the toughest emotions to swallow -- the murder of a loved one. It can be a hard and agonizing life for families like Derek Small's family. Someone carjacked and killed the father of two on the day after Thanksgiving in 2005. A year ago this month, Jacksonville's 10th murder victim of 2006 -- Joe Harrell -- was found shot to death in a yard on the Northside. Both crimes are still unsolved. It's a daily reminder for families waiting for justice. Joe Harrell's father, Joe Harrell Sr., and Times-Union reporter Charlie Patton were interviewed during Good Morning Jacksonville on January 19, 2007. Watch the video clip above.
