JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A local man is recovering after being shot overnight while using a Wells Fargo ATM.
Edward Ball, a 40-year-old Jacksonville Beach man, was using a Wells Fargo ATM around 11:20 p.m. Monday night when two men in ski masks allegedly approached his vehicle, according to a police report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Ball claims he attempted to drive away, but one of the men had a silver revolver and fired several shots at him, the report states. Ball was struck in the left arm and abdomen and was taken to Shands with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies responding to the shooting noted an apparent bullet hole in the bottom of the driver's side of the vehicle windshield.
The incident occurred at the Wells Fargo located at 10950 Baymeadows Circle near Interstate 295.
