Body pulled from Julington Creek in Mandarin

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a suspicious death Wednesday morning in the 14000 block of Mandarin Road.

An unidentified body was pulled out of Julington Creek in Mandarin. According to Sgt. Jay Farhat, foul play is suspected.

The white male victim was found by passing boaters in the middle of Julington Creek.

The victim was pulled from the water at the Mandarin Park Boat Ramp wearing a T-shirt, shorts and tennis shoes.

An investigation is ongoing and police are checking missing persons reports.

Anyone who has any information about the identity of the victim is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500.
