ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The St. Augustine Police Department is investigating alleged criminal activity at Absolute Americana Art Gallery.

On October 15 at 8:20 p.m., the manager of the gallery, located at 77 Bridge Street, found a significant amount of motor oil on the ground and wall on the east side of the business, as well as the main steps leading into the gallery.

The SAPD press release says blue paint is splattered about 15 to 20 feet high on the wall, where it dripped down. The paint was slightly damp when the officer arrived.

The release says surveillance video shows a person throwing paint at the wall and the same person pouring oil minutes later.

Anyone with information concerning this crime is asked to contact Northeast Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-888-227-8477 (TIPS), where you can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1000.00.
