FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. - A man with an extensive criminal history is accused to breaking into and burglarizing a home while the victim was sleeping.
David Allen Keen, 22, allegedly broke into a home in the 200 block of North 15th Street November 6, according to a release from the Fernandina Beach Police Department.
The victim woke up early in the morning to find her door open and saw a man fleeing from her home, the release detailed.
Several items were taken from the victim's home, including a laptop and various personal items.
According to the FBPD, a tip led investigators to Keen's home in the 1100 block of North 15th Street where officers allegedly recovered the stolen laptop and other belongings stolen from the victim's home.
Officers also recovered other items that are believed to have been stolen from other victims in recent weeks.
Keen has been charged with burglary to an occupied dwelling and theft and is being held on a $45,006 bond.
Keen's priors include assault and battery, loitering and prowling, burglary to a vehicle, theft, resisting arrest and domestic violence.
