JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Dr. Willis Holcombe has been named the interim president of Florida State College at Jacksonville by the district board of trustees.
BOT chair Gwen Yates will offer Holcombe the position and Board will vote to confirm Holcombe's contract at its Jan. 8, 2013 meeting, according to a release from Michael Corby of FSCJ Media Relations.
Bruce Barcelo was appointed VP for Duval County, Corby said.
In October, with a vote of 8-1, the FSCJ Board of
Trustees signed off on former President Steven Wallace's proposal that he serve
as president to the end of this year, but be retained on staff through
June 30, 2014.
