JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida department of health says no new cases of tuberculosis have been found at this time at Andrew Jackson High School.

An investigation began November 7 after two students tested positive for TB.

A Florida Department of Health in Duval press release says, 38 of 60 students and faculty from the school have been tested and received results, and there have been no positive screening tests.

"We are pleased that we are able to provide results to an initial group of parents," said Dr. Kelli Wells, Director of the Florida Department of Health in Duval County. "The fact that all of our initial results have been negative is a good sign. We anticipate more results being available by the end of the week."

About 100 students and six staff from the school have been identified for testing, the release says. Anyone exposed will be medically evaluated and offered therapy.

A parent information meeting is scheduled at the school for November 14th at 5:00 p.m. with the DOH-Duval.
