JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Department of Health reported Thursday an Andrew Jackson High School student has tested positive for Tuberculosis exposure, but no new active cases have been identified.
According to a release from the Department of Health, TB exposure is different from actually having tuberculosis.
Earlier this month, the health department announced its investigation
into two cases of active TB at the school.
Department officials said they identified 100 students and six staff for testing. Of those 100 students, 71 have been tested and 68 of those tested have gotten their results.
