ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A student at Flagler College has received a full scholarship to Harvard. Katherine Wrisley is our Student of the Week.

Wrisley is heading off to Harvard to get her Master's in Theological Studies. She received a full scholarship to Harvard Divinity School and a Presidential Scholarship for $10K to help cover her living expenses.

Her father, a Presbyterian minister, couldn't be more proud.

"Words cannot tell you. I realize, my wife, when we took our baptismal vows for our daughter when she was a baby, they've been fulfilled. It's a great day," Patrick Wrisley said.

Wrisley credits Flagler College and her Religion Professor Dr. Timothy Johnson with getting this incredible opportunity. "I would not have applied without his urging and mentorship, and I didn't believe I could do it on my own. I'm thankful to everyone here who believed I could," she said.

Wrisley has a double major of Philosophy/Religion and English. After she receives her Masters at Harvard, she said she will go for her doctorate and hopes to eventually become a Professor of Theology. She said she may even be back at Flagler College some day as a professor.
