JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- She's taking five AP classes while competing in fencing and figure skating. Alisa Chernomashentsev is our Student of the week.

Alisa is graduating Atlantic Coast High School after just three years and she's heading to the Air Force Academy next year. The academy only has an eleven percent acceptance rate and they chose Alisa.

She's also an expert fencer and is competing at the Junior Olympics next weekend.

She said she's not sure of a career path yet but she might like to go into the intelligence field.

"It's a lot of work and I try to keep on a tight schedule. Sometimes after school I'll go figure skate and fence and do all of my homework after," Alisa said.

AP Honors Academy counselor Kimberly Rubin said Alisa is a delight in the classroom.

"She's got a wonderful personality. Her teachers absolutely love having her in class," Rubin said. "Her peers depend on her for help and she's always got a smile on her face no matter how difficult her day."
