AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. -- Florida's farm grown wines will soon be featured on the First Coast.
The 1st Annual Amelia Island Wine Festival will be held on Oct. 13 in downtown Fernandina Beach. The festival is sponsored by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DACS).
One hundred different wines from 13 Certified Florida Farm Wineries will be featured, according to a release from the DACS. All the wines at the festival are produced by Florida farmers with Florida grapes.
A "behind the scenes" look at state's wine industry will also be provided by Dr. Violeta Colova from Florida A&M University.
Food from surrounding restaurants and live music will also be available for patrons, as well as a silent auction.
