LAKE COUNTY, Fla. -A Lake County elementary school teacher was arrested early Sunday morning after deputies said they found several juveniles drinking at her home.
Officials said Antonia Marino, 43, is a teacher at Pine Ridge Elementary School in Clermont.
Deputies said they received a noise complaint call about a large party with people outside throwing beer bottles in yards and in driveways.
When investigators arrived at the home, no one would answer the door and the lights were turned off, according to the arrest report.
Deputies said after an hour, Marino and her husband left the home.
Marino told authorities that her daughter was having a party and there was only supposed to be eight to 10 juveniles, but then 40 to 50 people showed up, according to the report.
Authorities said several of the minors told them Marino and her husband had been at the home the whole time, that alcohol was being served to them and Marino did nothing to stop it.
Marino said she was advised not to open the door and that she did not serve anyone alcohol, the report said.
When Marino and her husband finally allowed deputies inside the home they found a 15-year-old passed out in a closet and covered in vomit. The girl was taken to a hospital to be checked out.
All of the parents of the other children were contacted and asked to pick up their children, the report said.
Marino is charged with one count of open house party, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child and one count of resisting arrest without violence.
