ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The FBI and Health and Human Services are raiding the offices of a St. Petersburg health insurance company.
Agents went inside the building located at 100 Central Avenue and began seizing documents from Universal Health Care shortly after 8 a.m.
Last week, Universal Health Care was ordered into receivership, which means the state would take control of the company for purposes of liquidation. Liquidation was originally scheduled for April 1st.
There are few details about Thursday morning's raid, other than it appears to be in response to claims of mismanagement.
Universal Health Care employs about 800 people.
