MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - One person is dead after a boat capsized in rough waters off Miami Beach.
Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Ignatius Carroll says the boat was carrying four people when it capsized late Saturday.
Three of the people on board were able to swim to shore. Carroll says the body of the fourth passenger was found in the water a short time later.
Carroll says the three survivors were shaken up but were not injured.
Florida wildlife officials identified the victim as Ramon Uloa Rodriguez of Hialeah, the captain and owner of the boat.
Officials say Rodriguez suffered injuries to his left leg and apparently drowned.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating what caused the 23-foot boat to capsize.
