COCOA, Fla. - Cocoa police have evacuated homes and blocked part of Pineda Street in Cocoa after finding suspected bombs in a home.

Police received an anonymous call Friday morning with a tip that there were guns and bombs in the residence at 1422 Pineda St., spokeswoman Barbara Matthews said.

Officers searched the home and found numerous guns and ammunition, she said.

Moments later, officers found two threaded pipes with end caps screwed on.

Believing they are pipe bombs, police evacuated about a half-dozen neighboring homes and called in the bomb squad.

Police have not said if any arrests have been made.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office bomb squad is preparing to safely remove the suspected bombs.
