TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A violation of Florida's "Move Over Law" led to the arrest of a child pornography suspect on June 12 in Florida.
Florida Highway Patrol officers in Brevard County stopped a driver on State Road 528 for failure to move over for a Brevard County Sheriff's deputy who was on a traffic stop, according to FHP.
The driver, who appeared nervous according to FHP, provided a false name to the FHP trooper.
Using Rapid ID, a handheld fingerprint scanner, the trooper positively identified the driver as Brett David Bowyer.
Bowyer, who has been listed on the TV show America's Most Wanted, was a wanted fugitive in West Virginia for child pornography charges.
He was booked into Brevard County Jail.
Bowyer was a high school counselor in Princeton, W. Va., when arrested on Sept. 17, 2010. He failed to appear in court for his sentencing and has been on the run ever since. America's Most Wanted aired his story on Sept. 14, 2012.
