FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- An investigation at a Palm Coast home resulted in the arrest of a man suspected of illegal narcotics activity.

Detectives with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit and SWAT served a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Pine Grove Drive in Wednesday morning, according to a release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

During a search of the home, detectives allegedly found crack cocaine, cannabis and various prescription medications in unlabeled prescription bottles inside a bedroom in the home.

John Lorenzo Johnson, 32, was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of prescription pills, possession of cannabis - under 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Johnson's two young children were home at the time of the search.

"It is disturbing to me that these children were living in this home and may have been exposed to the dangers often associated with illegal narcotics use and possession. Our Investigators have contacted the Department of Children and Families and advised them of the situation and we have asked them to conduct an investigation to ensure that the children are safe," said Sheriff James L. Manfre.

Johnson was transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility where he was held and later released after posting $11,000 bond.
