LAKE COUNTY, Fla. A Lake County man was arrested over the weekend on trafficking charges after 120 pounds of high-grade marijuana en route from Arizona was found in a traffic stop, deputies said.
Authorities said their investigation began during a traffic stop in central Arizona last week.
During the stop, officers found the drugs and determined that it was on its way to the Lake County area.
Arizona authorities then contacted the Lake County Sheriff's Office in reference to conducting a controlled delivery.
The marijuana was delivered to a home in Groveland and Robert Jones accepted the delivery, according to investigators.
Officials said they found what appears to be a repackaging and distribution location for marijuana inside the home.
About three more pounds of high-grade marijuana, packaging material, log books and $20,000 in cash was also located, according to a news release.
Jones is charged with trafficking in marijuana and was taken to the Lake County Jail without incident. He was released on $30,000 bond.
