ORLANDO, Fla. - A third-grader at Pine Hills Elementary School was suspended for 10 days after he brought a knife to school and made threats on Wednesday morning, officials said.
Officials said the boy displayed the paring knife during breakfast time at the school.
A parent witnessed the incident and reported it to the school, according to Orange County Public Schools spokeswoman Kathy Marsh.
School officials said the boy was immediately detained and held in a room while investigators arrived.
The boy was suspended and will be considered for expulsion based on his actions and threats, Marsh said.
No other information was immediately known.
