LAND O' LAKES, Fla. -- Home for the holidays -- it's a mission not everyone can complete, especially those serving our country overseas. But thanks to a couple of Santa's little helpers, hundreds of troops will be making their way home this Christmas.

Like many homes this holiday, the Marascos have an Elf on the Shelf named Dew Drop.

But for this Land O' Lakes family, there's one member that will be missing; Patrick Marasco has been stationed away from his family for the past 10 months.

"It says, 'We'll miss you,'" said 10-year-old Adam Marasco.

Adam has no choice but to ask Santa this Christmas for one very big thing.

"My dad and that's it."

Little does Adam know that in a couple of days his holiday wish will come true.

"Camp Shelby offered a pass to those there to see their family four days," said Deann Marasco.

To get every one of the 300 Florida National Guards members home was hard; it will cost more than $30,000. But thanks to the American Legion and an anonymous donor, the money was raised.

Proving that the greatest of gifts are the one's that can't be wrapped, but a surprise that Adam will soon never forget.

"What would you say to your dad if you could see him?"

"Merry Christmas, Dad. Love you."
