JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Florida Governor Rick Scott appointed two people from the First Coast area to the Jacksonville Port Authority.
The Governor appointed Edward Fleming, 58, of Jacksonville and reappointed Joseph York, 45, of Ponte Vedra. Both men still need to be confirmed by the Florida Senate.
Fleming is a retired president of Atlantic Marine LLC and a founding member of the Jacksonville Marine Transportation Exchange. Filling a vacant seat, his term is from Jan. 14, 2014 to Sept. 30, 2015.
York is the president of AT&T Florida, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. He has also served on the board of directors for Associated Industries Florida and the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission. York's term is from Jan. 14, 2014 to Sept. 30, 2017.
