WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- A man has died when his motorcycle was hit by a van while stopped at an intersection red light in Warner Robins.
The Macon County Telegraph newspaper reports that Houston County sheriff's deputies said the accident happened about 6 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Davis Drive and Georgia 247 in Warner Robins.
The deputies said 62-year-old Delmar Singleton was riding a 2012 Triumph motorcycle. He was stopped in the northbound lane of the intersection for a red light.
Deputies said a 2005 Chevy Astro Van driven by 80-year-old James Leroy Edwards of Juliette ran into the rear of the motorcycle and pushed it 363 feet down the highway.
