Sheriff probing deaths of couple in Newton County

COVINGTON, Ga. -- Two people found dead in a Newton County house have been identified as a couple who are believed to be husband and wife: 44-year-old Robert Dendy and 39-year-old Lendene Dendy.
Authorities are investigating how the two died after their bodies were found in a Newton County house on Monday.
Newton County Sheriff's Deputy Cortney Morrison and county Coroner Tommy Davis says family members discovered them dead in the house.
The Covington News reports that autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday at the state medical examiner's office.
Few other details were immediately available.
Stone Ridge Way is located off Flat Shoals Road, just south of the Covington Bypass Road.
