GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. -- The Glynn County Coroner said he is expecting to find out Friday from the state medical examiner the manner of how Glynn County Commissioner Tom Sublett died.

Our news partner The Florida Times-Union is reporting that Sublett's family's attorney expects the state medical examiner to conclude Sublett killed himself.

Sublett was found floating in the water on St. Simons Island in December. Glynn County Coroner Jimmy Durden said he drowned after being shot in the head one time.

He also said Sublett's hands were tied in front of him with plastic ties.

The Georgia Bureau of Invesigation told First Coast News on Thursday that even if Sublett's death is ruled a suicide, GBI's investigation will continue.
