(AP) -- A former Atlanta bus driver has been found not guilty of aggravated battery after a 62-year-old woman said she was dragged alongside the bus after she got off.
Former Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority bus driver, Belinda McMillian, appeared in Fulton County Superior Court Thursday and was found not guilty in the May 2011 incident. A woman told police McMillian closed the bus doors on her arm and dragged her up the street. A police report said the woman was dragged 63 feet and sustained a broken arm and cuts to her head and legs.
Witnesses came forward corroborating the woman's claim and McMillian said she could not get a job because the incident was on her record.
McMillian tells WXIA-TV she's grateful for the ruling.
