ATLANTA -- An Atlanta woman is in stable condition Thursday night following a shooting in the Bankhead neighborhood.
The woman was shot in the head following an argument with a pedestrian, according to Officer John Chafee.
The incident happened near Chappel Road and Joseph E. Boone Boulevard when someone in the vehicle got into an argument with a pedestrian. When the vehicle started to leave the location, the pedestrian fired into the vehicle, striking the female passenger in the head.
She was transported to Grady hospital and is listed in stable condition. At this time, there is no suspect information.
The vehicle left the location and flagged down an officer near Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway near Finley Avenue NW.
